Monsoon Café, the first initiative of Let’s Live, was launched on 9 June 2018 at Kanthari. Conceived as an open and non-judgmental space for the free expression of emotions and feelings, the Café aimed to encourage conversations around emotional well-being and suicide prevention among young people.
The Café was inaugurated by Paul Kronenberg and supported by participants from Kanthari’s 10th batch. The first day welcomed teenagers from Vellayani and nearby areas, with more than 20 young people participating in the event.
The awareness session was graced by the presence of Dr Mridul Eapen, whose visit came as a pleasant surprise and encouragement to the initiative.
The event was officially sponsored by Hem from Sydney. Kanthari also extended support by providing the space and resources required to set up the Café. The initiative was further strengthened by the enthusiasm, energy, and dedication of friends and volunteers who came together in support of the cause.
